Thread: Mess of Spanish my dad and I caught

My dad and I go to fish the pier every summer ever since I could remember. This is from last summer when they had a strong Spanish and blue run one day. Just wish they had a pier like this down here in Louisiana, because I know I would be there every chance I got. Luckily for me, I will be make 3 trips this summer to hit the pier, and I can't wait!

Yes sir, the spanish chew down on my first time to the pier, hooked me many years ago, then eating them..... was the icing on the chew down.... that is a fill the cooler fish..... for fish fries once returned home to share with family and friends

I love live bait fishing for them. So much fun.

Yeah, My dad was using the bubble rig and I was using the sabaki rig with size 2-4 hooks and Christmas trees to catch them this time. Just something about fishing with a sabaki is fun and interesting, even though some people may think its a easy way out to fish..haha

jigs and snobling small cigs and strips are my favorite ways, they are definitely one of the funnest fish to catch

well I'll be heading there at the beginning of June and the end of June, so hopefully they will be running again when I go. If not hopefully something will be hitting.
