Cool May be heading down this weekend....

Soooo wife may be going to Atlanta with friends, my choices are to stay up here and fly fish or drag out the beater rods and hit the pier with y'all. After the debacle last month I'm kinda leaning towards hitting the pier. Any idea of what the weather will be doing to the fishing?

Ugly Stik GX2 with 12# mono be okay on the pier? I'll be swinging by J&M to get outfitted with rigs and info.
