May 23 week
I came down in late July last year. I did catch some nice whiting in the surf. Then I found some blues. I love catching the bluefish..catch and release. I tried them a couple years ago and well too me enough said. Went to Bon Secour and caught some white trout and few specs. Nothing like I have caught in past years. Well I'm coming May 23 week this year. What is the normal fish in the surf this time of year? I know weather dictates a lot. Thanks for any help.

All the info your seeking is located on this forum. Use the search bar in the upper right and type in "fishing chart" and you'll get the annual chart of what your looking for under the sticky "what's biting when". Of course there are a lot of variables involved and Mother Nature has a lot to do with it, but I've found this to be quite accurate from year to year.
Good luck and good fishing.

May should be wide open for Spanish mac and kings on the pier. "Should" being the operative word.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
