Marco and Laura
I guess all the bad weather this week will cause a work stoppage on the pier reno. We have rain from Marco here in Cullman already.

Marco was a nothing but flash in the pan, barely a fizzle.
And as for Laura, besides a little heavy surf, she should be a complete non-issue too.
Yeah sure, another temporary slowdown/stoppage to an alreay far behind schedule state projectRagnar Benson:

What a difference a day makes. We are lucky Laura is not headed our way. She has developed into a monster storm. You can go to the satellite and play 20 hours of impressive development. Quite a lesson in how rapidly these things can grow (takes a bit to load).
https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/GOE...=13&length=240People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

Missed it by 'that much'...
It was a close call, but waves from "Laura" did not quite reach the height threshold to cause damage on the pier.
"Cajun" posted this video on his YouTube channel of large waves pummeling the pier...
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
