Lost a pier regular from several years back... Ray Thompson
Ray passed away early Saturday morning in his hometown of Jackson, MS. He and his wife Vivian were pier regulars in the summer months 10-15 and more years ago. Always in the skinny water for flounder, reds, and whiting if they were around. If you recall someone tripping coming on to the pier and breaking their pelvis around 2010 or so that was Ray. He loved to snapper fish on the Reel Surprise with Randy Boggs and inshore fished with me since 2011. Ray was hard of hearing and was often heard loudly saying to Vivian "Huh"? What did they say Vivian I can't hear...to which she usually replied nothing Ray!!

Sorry to hear about his demise, but thank you Jay.
There's been too many fishermen gone to the 'big pier in the sky' this year!
I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
