706 and 706 Z are out of production, so you you are looking for ads here and online auctions. Expect to pay a healthy price for one in good condition. If you like a bailed reel a 704 is almost as large and runs cheaper.
A very serviceable surrogate is the the Mitchell 302 with the bonus of being cheaper, but an upgrade of a 302 to bail-less status and better line lay will add another $40 to the price.
Of course, contemporary reels also catch fish.

Thanks for the info yea i know they are out of production have started doing some research on them i really like the 706 and the look of them they are a classic, im looking for it mainly as a king reel for the pier when i come down, and some local striper fishing. THANKS

The pictures of the ones TL II has are imaculate.
