    Local scofflaws busted!

    Officers of Marine Resources Division interdicted 2 recreational vessels with a total of 34 red snapper onboard.
    The anglers were issued citations for possession of red snapper during the closed season and possession of undersize red snapper.
    Report violations 24hrs at 251-476-1256.

    I think they should be forced to catch a 1000 lbs worth Asian carp for each fish they illegally caught.

    I vote 1 violation for each undersized fish, 1 violation for each fish over the normal limit, and one violation for each fish kept out of season. $250.00 and 2 hours of community service per violation. All fines and community service paid and served prior to boat, gear, and licenses returned. All equipment and licenses should be withheld a minimum of one year at that time if all penalties and restitution hasn't been served/paid all equipment becomes property of the state and license ban becomes permanent. That'd teach um! If only I were King???

    i'm not sure about the fines but in Tennessee, each individual fish is a separate violation and all equipment is subject to forfeiture
