    Little lagoon pass

How is the fishing at the pass since construction is going on? I haven't been down there in a few months but the last time I was it seemed all the kid friendly options had been dredged away. Thx

The fishing was pretty good last weekend. Three of us limited out on reds and caught 5 big Specs and 2 big flounder. If you have the patience to weed through the pin fish, rat reds, and mangroves there's some pretty good fish there right now. Also went a few days before that and caught a 16" and 20" Spec in some of the darkest brown stagnant looking water. Used live shrimp both days.

Fished outside the pass on the gulf side and could only manage hard tails and skip jacks. Caught a few inside the lagoon in the trough and the rest were in the pass itself.

Went there today, not much being caught but not many people fishing either. i wasnt fishing but there were nice sized schools of mullet in the surf and more big cownose rays and i managed to pull up a blue crab bigger than my hand from 15 feet down but let it go since it was only one crab. There is beach access to the pass but not to the surf unless you go through the beach houses. The water was pretty good, about 6-7 feet of visibility
