    Little Lagoon Fishing Report 06-29-2014

Went out in Little Lagoon today in my kayak. I live on West Beach so i just launch from the bank at home. The trout are stacked up in deep water drop offs and deeper piers. Live shrimp on a popping cork about 2.5 ft flouro and a small split shot does the job. I use a number 8 treble. Today, the current was pushing East, NE with choppy water and slight waves. I was fishing on the East side of the lagoon and drifting a live fresh caught 2-3" pinfish under the same popping cork rig, except using a 1/0 circle hook. I managed to land this 24" Speckled Trout (it was a male, but I release as much as possible but couldn't pass this one up).
