    Lagoon Pass Construction 6-17-2014

Rode down the Lagoon Pass to get a few pix. Lot of work going on, but the north side sand bar beach is still accessible and the parking lot was full. The temporary bridge looks to be coming along good and the blacktop approaches are almost done.
The temp bridge looks a bit like a train trestle. It looks like people are walking thru beach house property to get to the Gulf side.
    Here are the pix:

I have rented the blue house on the west bank next to the bridge on the lagoon side of the bridge and done very well with flounder there. Your pix help me to understand what is happening.

So are they just building a new bridge or will they be widening the inlet?
Are they going to build a new pedestrian bridge also?
    Thanks for the pics Fin.

Thats what i did when i went there. I went out to the end of the huge sandbar in front of the pass and was surfing literally right next to schools of 50-100 mullet
