Kool Heads
I'm always looking for ways to stay comfortable outside in the summer heat , In the Army in the Desert we would take the brown GI towels and soak them in water and drape our heads with them and it helped but that wasn't good for very long .
Well I found "Frogg Toggs" chilly pad towels and started using them , Love them but I felt like I needed to fine tune them some . The towel works great but they get fishy smelling from your handle bait and fish , Then I remembered that we had a foam pad inside our kevler hemet that we would wet and the evaporating water would feel cool , So I cut some Frogg Toggs chilly pads to fit inside my fishing hat , BINGO that kept me cool and comfortable , Just dip them in the cooler water (not the one with fish in it) once in a while and you feel a lot better in the heat
Wasn't sure if this was the right place to pot this , but I look at it as a fishing gear upgrade .If you are going to fight, fight like you are the third monkey on the ramp to Noah's ark and brother, it's starting to rain!
