king rod blank
im looking to make my own king rod, i was just wondering if anyone had sugestions on a rod blank.

I want the rod to be 8 foot, able to throw a live bait far and may be a cigar minnow, and i want a 706z on it with about 16 pound 16 to 20 pound test.

You can get a Baton swb80ml or a cui f1 for less than half of that and both are good blanks.

batson swb80ml is a nice, fast tip blank for someone on a budget. Gator BS596 is a good cig slinger too. Calstar makes some good blanks. My personal favorite is a batson SW1027, moderately fast action, awesome at throwing lures but takes a little getting used to trying to snobble.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
