thanks for pointing me in the right direction. love reading about the life of pier fishing.....
very nice to read what is going on, being from North Alabama, I was reading about two subjects that interested me, one the sign for boaters to stay away; I lived in FWB most of my younger life so fishing off the OIP was an everyday thing during the summer, boats rarely came close to the pier there, if they did they were bombed with lead weights or their lines were caught and the boater was told to free spool so pier anglers could untangle, well no, their lines were cut...all of them. The shark issue is another, OIP did have sharks but most I saw were huge and did not present a problem, matter of fact they usually brought Cobia with them. I do agree, having a fish cleaning station is nice for out of towner anglers, but for resident anglers, it is a problem. be nice if you guys can talk them into ridding of that. Now, OIP did have a resident "cuda" he lived under the pier and would snatch up half a 15lb King in less than 3 seconds, he would wait until the fish was ready to be gaffed and shoot out from under pier, chop, U-turn back under pier.DriFtwood
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
