Just wanted to share some Home State pride
This was my local home state pier for years. A real beauty, but no fishing to compare to GS.

Good times, Good friends, Great Beer. You can buy all three - But it's always better to invest the time to make your own.

After some reflection, I may have come to a reasonable conclusion on why I did not catch many fish off of the Folly Beach pier. It has been over 10 years since my rods have rested on the rails of an east coast pier, but I have garnered a ton of Knowlege from this forum and the folks I have mentored with on the pier in GS. Looking back, I was a squid slinger, and drug the shell off of many a slimy frozen shrimp. The occasional cat - and more than our share of Rays were the high light of a trip to the beach. If I fished the same way at GS - I would get the same results. The wonderful folks in Gulf Shores - and more specifically, the Wizards on this forum have taught me HOW to fish, and more importantly, how to CATCH target species. I have not ventured to Folly for fear of wasting time, but maybe a weekend trip is in order. But only when it cools off. The blues do run on the East coast in November.....

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
