just moved here, looking for places to fish without a boat
Hello all, hope your fishing has been great here lately. I was looking for info on places to fish either from the bank, bridge or piers in and around Gulf Shores and Orange Beach not including the Gulf State Park Pier. I have mostly bass fishing rods/reels, mostly baitcasting but also a few spinning reels. We have tried the piers on the Little Lagoon canal and canal on Canal Road. All we mostly catch while fishing with bull minnows or live shrimp is saltwater catfish. Is there a better place to go to have a chance to catch speckled trout, redfish, flounder, pompano, shark or spanish mackerel with either live or artificial bait? I have had some success in the canals of Little Lagoon catching a few specks with cocahoe minnows on a 1/4 oz jighead, but I would like to take my girlfriend somewhere to be able catch these fish on live bait if possible.
Thanks,
David
