Re: jetties
You can really catch just about anything depending on the tides, time of day/night, and time of year; along with which section of the jetties, and which side of the jetties you are fishing on.
But more specifically:
Bluefish, Spanish, Ladyfish, Pompano, Redfish, Black Drum, Guaguanche Barracuda/Southern Sennet, Flounder, Spadefish, Sheepshead, Porgies, Stingrays, Catfish, Striped Mullet, Kingcroakers, Speckled Trout, Pufferfish, Filefish, Cutlass Fish and various Sharks are quite common.
Other fish you can sometimes encounter are Kings, Bonito, Greater Barracuda, Alligator Gar, Cobia, various Snapper. We have even seen Oarfish leaping out of the water in excess of 20' long (rare, but a most beautiful fish species).
Fishing that area can be very fun, or very dull. Just depends if the timing is right.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
