Jack Crevalle - Alabama Waters (Records)
I just wanted to point out something real quick.
The Alabama State Record for a Jack Crevalle is: 39 lbs. 4 oz. caught on 08/20/94.
I caught a Jack Crevalle a week ago that one guy's scale showed right at 42lbs--although it was an old scale, and I'm not sure it was accurate (felt more like 35ish to me).
I saw a photo somewhere on the forum of Wilson holding a huge Jack Crev as well.
Be mindful of the weights of your Jacks, because some of you may be catching state records off of the pier and not even know it.
I just happened to glance at the state records and couldn't believe that Alabama's largest recordable was still sitting at 39lbs and 4oz.
Start paying attention folks! This may not be the only species some of you are smashing records on.
Certain species have been getting larger lately. :headbang: :headbang:

I did not know it was so low. I brought a friend down last year that got one 33lbs and I have seen plenty that would be larger than that.

Exactly Dave. Turbidity is a measure of how clear water is, or how much light is scattered by particles in the water. Turbid water appears cloudy or muddy (dingy). The particles that scatter light...
