J & M Tackle Profile 8 ft King Rods
Hey, probably heading over to J & M for an 8 ft Profile Rod with the Cork handle for $65. Everything I've heard about them were great, I'm pairing a 5000 Size reel with it. I'm investing in an inexpensive rod right now because Im leaving for college. Has anyone tried it?

Own one myself. Worth every penny on it. It has a great backbone with good flex for casting. Have had that thing doubled over without any worries.

Just what Bill said. I got my hands on one before he had even put them on the sales floor a year and a half ago. He recommended it to me. He knew I was looking for a better king rod than what I had but couldn't spend a lot of money.

Alrighty, went ahead and got one today along with a Sea Striker 7'0" Baitcasting Medium rod for inshore trout and reds and/or spanish fishing and love both of them. Alway's lots of help at J&M. My favorite store haha.

Here's hoping you have plenty of big fish to put all your new equipment to the test. Especially kings and Spanish. Write reports. Post pictures.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
