J&M Tackle

What you hear about J&M Tackle on this forum is true, the most helpful people you will ever find. I made my first trip this weekend, and will go back any time I am down that way fishing and need something or just have a question. :nyd:

I agree with J & M...but theres a tackle store on the beach road in orange beach that I will not name that loves your money but isnt so helpful.

Saltfisher1--I know which store you're talking about and it only took me a couple of curiosity stops there to understand. Not near as good a selection as J&M, either. I'll stick with the best.

Always get a warm welcome at J & M whether I am buying or just visiting. Feels like family! :headbang:

When I come down for vacations from Chicago J&M is my first stop.
I could go to any chain back home for the things I need but there is nothing like the friendly service you get there. How can you not want to give them your business.
I only get to GS a couple times a year but they treat me like a regular local.

i'll add my 2cents, we bought 3 rod and reel combos and countless leaders while we were there. the folks were great and we will be back.

J&m is my favorite tackle shop,great folks!

Anyone can put product in a building and put prices on it, but what builds a customer base is service. J & M has service that is second to none. After my first visit in there I was hooked. Since then they have stolen a lot of business from BPS. Kudos to the crew at J & M for going above and beyond.

I have said it many times...John g, his family and staff are some of the finest people I have ever known. You will NEVER be done wrong in J&M. Class act all the way. I am proud to count John and several of his staff among my closest and most cherished friends

April will make it 25 years for J&M.In the office next to mine are my parents,and in this office my brother is sitting behind me and to the side of me is my wife.If it were summer time both of my kids and Mikes daughter would be working the floor.One thing is for sure,you will never hear me say"a bad days fishing is better than a good day at work". Been in your place 3-4 times now, always found what I needed.
And if I was obviously looking too long or hard for something, an employee has always offered to help me find what I needed.
Whether it was parts for a drag, tackle or just advice on how to catch what/where, I've not left without what I came for.

Today I steered two guys to your store.
They're renting a beach house, were fishing with not much luck, they saw my son and I catching and asked questions.
J&M was my answer for bait & tackle.

I bought a bait runner reel from J & M Tackle and they were very helpful. Its a great reel.

J&M Tackle is the only place to go. they got everything you could ever want and their knowledge is endless. keep it up john thanks my friend

I need a new tip on one of my rods. Will J & M do it while I wait? There is no place near where I live that does it and the ones I have on hand do not quite fit. If so I will wait until I get back down next week and just go by there.

Agreed.

When I went there for the first time looking for a ribbon rig they were out of them but went out of there way to tell me other places to get them and even gave me directions. Not all places would send a customer to another store but they did and it meant alot them going out of there way. This is why if I need something we go there it is a great store.
