J&M Sea Striker Rods
I'm looking for a couple of rods to get the ball rolling, and to have as back ups when I go custom. I've spied the Sea Striker BS8WCT (in white). Also the BR1220S80CT, graphite. Does J&M stock these, and how much? Thanks!

Don't know if they have white but they do carry several different seastriker rods. I've got a 10ft surf rod, and a 8ft lighter graphite rod. Looks just like the one you asked about but maybe a little different.

I don't know about the first one you asked about. The second rod is actually recommended by John G here: http://www.gulfshorespierfishing.com...g7241/#msg7241

Educate me a little bit if you will. What are good turbidity numbers? If you can check those stats and determine what the water looks like before you go, that would be VERY helpful!
