I've got it bad
Addicted to fishing equipment....came across 2 what looks like new unused Conolon rods, that after the last rebuild became a new favorite live bait blank for me, even being a 2pc.... these are 2 pc but that still won't be to bad for traveling in the future and he thinks they don't have the metal ferrals ....looking at them tomorrow (I love the old stuff anymore)

I can't zoom in on the reel seat, but that's where all the oldies broke down,a friction furrell above the top hood and the fore grip. Not much use for it around here,it was a staple fluke(east coast flounder) and striper boat rod back in the day. Nice find on the others.

The new owner, the one's grip section is like a base ball bat....pretty large and both had metal Ferrel's..... Oh well very clean but won't say new....might have to flip the large one 10fter ....the other 8-1/2 ft I'll be keeping.
what I thought was a tag on the rods.... was a tag on the rod sock...and just a little cracking at a couple guide feet from the rod varnish age on the rod I am keeping the other looks super clean, might end up keeping them both .....never find another in this conditionBill..............

Craig's list is worse than the yard sales around here. I'm on it almost hourly looking for any new good posts. But nothing is ever that good.
Quick yard sale story though, since im stuck in bed with the flu. Right after high school I got into land based shark fishing like crazy. Started out small with a couple of 6/0 widescreen and a surf board tk get the bait out. I needed to upgrade (getting spooled sucks) so I started going to yard sales looking for deals. I was on call at work and got called in early on a Sunday and next to the house I was working on was having a yard sale. So I went over and saw 2 penn international 80's still in the boxes. They didn't have a price so I asked the older lady what she wanted for them. She looked at them and said $50 a piece!!! I couldn't believe my ears. But I felt bad and told her that she had some very very expensive reels and i couldn't buy them for $50 each. She said because I was honest with her that she wasnt taking anymore that $50 a piece and I had to buy them. So long story short, I got $1600-$1800 worth of reels for $100. Best yard sale find ever. Amd actually eneded up doing a lot of side work for her

I worked 160 hours in 2 weeks with the flu and now im paying for it. Cant even get out of bed.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
