    Intracoastal

Fishing the Intracoastal off of a sailboat tomorrow. Trolling one Rod and throwing lures with the other. Am I wasting my time. If not then what lures should I troll/throw.
Go Vols, I don't mind Nick Saban, but Lane Kiffin just bends the rod too much.

Trolling the "canal" part of the ICW?

I don't know what you would catch. Most guys fish the banks with live shrimp for reds and sheepshead.

There are flounders on the banks, especially near flats and grass.

Curious, where and what is the Intracoastal? I am familiar with the east coast 'ditch'.

The Gulf Intercoastal Waterway is indeed a 'ditch'.
Part of the same 3000 mile long course dug to connect inland waterways so that barge commerce and small vessels could traverse without venturing into the open Gulf.

Thanks, Pier.. I did not know about a Gulf Intracoastal as I said I am familiar with the east coast ICW but thought it stopped in Florida.
