inshore Guide
Looking to take my son on a guided inshore trip for reds, specs and flounder the weekend of 9/18 - 9/21. Any suggestions?

If she is still around, Captain Cathy, a nice lady that charters out of San Roc in Orange Beach has always put me on fish.

Be sure to check out Jayhook (he's a member on this forum and a fine inshore guide ;-)

My father is coming down the 28th and he wants to target large specs. Can anyone tell me who the right inshore charter would be to contact for this?

I'll second Jayhook. My wife and I fished with him in Spetember, we had a great trip.

+1 on Ralph Young. We stayed near OB Marina this past weekend (thanks to a generous friend) and he put us in contact with Ralph. While the water was still too warm and salinity a little too low for specs on Saturday, I imagine it should really get hot over the next week with the passing of this cold front. Ralph put us on some rat reds and mangrove (undersized) early over in Perdido and then we moved to the pass to try our luck on some bull reds. While we didn't score a hookup (that is some craziness with a dozen or more boats jockeying for position in an area the size of small house), we did see several others land some nice ones. Not only is Ralph is great guide, but his knowledge of the area is vast and I enjoyed learning the local lore from him almost as much as I did the fishing!

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
