Inaugural Alabama Fishing Report podcast - GDO mag

alabama saltwater fishing report: Ep5: April 2-8, 2018
All new for 2018, get the latest Alabama Fishing Report for all the local saltwater destinations each week. This week, hosts Butch Thierry and Joe Baya are talking to some of the most respected guides and fishing minds in the area. Whether you fish Mobile Bay, Dauphin Island, or Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, there is something for you in this week's show. This weeks show is sponsored by Trotter Marine.Captain Bobby Abruscato of A-Team fishing Adventures brings us the inshore report this week, sponsored by Egret Baits. The speckled trout bite has been hot, and the redfish are mixed in with them. Drifting shallow oyster flats has produced good numbers of trout. Be ready to anchor quickly when the school is found. The weather is always iffy this time of year, so be sure to listen in for some protected locations to target.
Captain Skipper Thierry with Captain Mike's Deep Sea Fishing brings us the offshore report this week. Triggerfish is open and the bite has been hot. Good numbers of Vermillion Snapper are starting to bite so be sure to listen in for the down low on the best tackle and baits to use to target these reef fish.
David Thornton, also known as "The Pier Pounder" has a great report for us this week for everyone who does their fishing from the piers and the beach. Good Numbers of Spanish Mackerel will be able to be found along the coastal piers and pompano will be available in numbers along the beach. Check out David's interview for Bait Selection and some innovative, inexpensive tips on getting your gear to the beach.
Be sure to check out the Alabama Saltwater Fishing Report on ITunes and subscribe, rate, and review us in the comments. We'd love to hear your feedback and get your questions for our contributors. The first 50 subscribers to send us an email at info@greatdaysoutdoors.com will receive a prize pack from Egret Baits and all email subscribers will be entered to win a fishing trip for 2 with Bobby Abruscato at the end of the month as well as another prize pack from Egret Baits.
    (RETIRED) mostly.
