I need fishing advice
My in-laws from Lebanon, Ohio, will be staying on Fort Morgan peninsula Nov. 7-14, and my father-in-law (a bass, walleye, and northern pike fisherman) would like to go fishing.
Because I have limited experience in fishing on the Gulf, I need some advice on where to take him and what bait/lures to use. So, in the second week of November, should I take him to fish the surf (Fort Morgan, Gulf State Park, or Johnson Beach) or off the pier? What bait or lures should we use?
I’d certainly appreciate whatever advice you can share. Thanks for your time!

Welcome BLC!
Are they staying on the gulf side?
In a house or condo?
The surf has a LOT of whiting right now that can be caught on light tackle with fresh dead shrimp on bottom.
There are a number of incidental fish to be caught by the same method.
Hope this helps!(RETIRED) mostly.

Not sure what you want to fish for but that time of the year you should be able to catch fish anywhere you can get to the water on the Gulf side with a simple carolina rig and fresh shrimp Big reds should be on Fort Morgan Point and the Pier will provide some good fishing Search the prior post on this forum and you should get all the info you need Hit J&M Tackle in Orange Beach and they can outfit you with anything you need

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
