I just can't take it any more.
I've had it with the weather, the taxes, and the negativity we see everyday in the Chicago land area. I'm moving my family to Fairhope. I will be down their April 1st. Should be spending a lot of time at the pair and surrounding areas looking for advice on fishing. Looking forward to getting to meet some of you. I have been reading your post for the last two years I seldom post. Probably due to the lack of knowledge when I pertains to saltwater fishing.
Thanks John K.

How dare you say such things about your president's home town... Move on down,we'll leave the light on for ya. Saltwater fishing is not much different from freshwater, common fishing sense, watching and asking the people that are catching questions and not being scared to belly-up to a loaded rail will help you out a lot. We all get aggravated with people but don't take it personal,it's just part of pier fishing. Trust me, people out there are not bashful about letting you know if you are doing something wrong. Welcome to the forum and to South Alabama.

Come on down and stick round for our Annual Pier Picnic, you will meet plenty of new forum friends!
The picnic is usually the last Saturday of April.

Let us know if there is anything we can do to help make the move go smooth!
My sister was living west of Detroit when her husband got transferred to an office in Chicago last spring.
They hate it, they can't wait to go back to Farmington Hills or to retire to their condo down in SC....Carl

Plan on hiring Pier#r for surf and pier tips.
Just trying to pick a home at the moment. Need to stay in Fairhope, because my son is into travel soccer and they say the high school team is really good.
From their we (family) can fish Fairhope pier, gulf shores pier, and maybe Ft. Morgan beach areas. I do have a boat so we will be out on the gulf a bit to. Any info would be greatly appreciated. everyone seems to more than willing to help. Nice to see from an outsider looking to move in.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
