Help with a good pond/lake/creek to take young boys fishing

It is time to take my 2 young boys freshwater fishing....We have fished the beach and pier but nothing will keep their attention better than pond fishing with lots of bream, little cats and lots of action. Good old worm fishing. This is what got me hooked many years ago...Please let me know any spots that will provide this action in Gulf Shores area. We hoped to go tommarrow
    Thanks

Though most don't consider them edible the Intracoastal Waterway is loaded with hardhead catfish that will bite just about anything scented. A bag of squid, cheap frozen shrimp, imported frozen scallops, cut up sardines or cigar minnows or sandfleas-you name it they eat it. You may even luck up and catch a redfish or black drum. Easy access is just down the road from J&M on Canal Road.
