Help!!!!Coming down on June 22 2015
Hello guys I have been a avid reader of all you guys for the last year in half or so. I came down last summer n fished the pier 4 days straight but never really asked any questions r information of anyone just tried to learn myself and that didn't work out to well at all. I need any info that you can help me with on that time of year of what to expect to catch at the end on June besides a sunburn. What type of equipment do I need to have on hand? What lures bait is best that time of year? Any info would be greatly appreciated and would like to meet a few of you guys when I come down this year. I fish bass tournament but I am a rookie to salt water fishing all the way around. Last 5 years we have taken our annual summer vacation to the gulf there but every fish I have caught surf pier r fishing a lagoon was thrown back bc I had no idea of what it was n didn't want to get caught with a protected or illegal size fish. Well I have rambled on enough so I wish everyone happy fishing n also thank you in advance for any responses n help you may can offer. Joe avery

Your bass equipment will be sufficient, just make sure to rinse it well when you are done fishing for the day. A spinning combo is ideal for everything you can catch from the pier.
Depends on what species fish you plan to catch...shrimp, sand fleas, LYs, Gotcha plugs, bubble rigs, pompano jigs
