Hello / Bow Fishing
Hello everyone. Any bow fisherman on here?
I'm new to the board. I was down to Gulf shores for a week after Christmas. I'm planning another trip for 4 or 5 weeks in Feb and March. This will be the first time I stay on the Bay side, near Fort Morgan. I'm wondering about the water visibility in the bay. If it is good enough to see bottom in a few feet of water. I usually go around Perdido Bay in the summer. And also if the rays are in the shallows of the bay in Feb and March. I saw a few caught on rod and reel from the Public pier in Gulf Shores after Christmas. I'm considering towing my boat down with me. If it is worth the effort. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

I bow hunt, deer, turkey, and other critters, and while i have a mission setup for fishing ive never actually done it. the bay would be perfect for some rays, and flounder.. maybe even reds.

You would love it Mr. Cleland. Its very addicting. I bow hunt; deer, turkey, elk, bear, and small game. Bow fishing is just as thrilling. And, you get to shoot a lot more. You should make it a point to try it. I have a boat set up with lights for shooting at night. Perfect for flounder also.

There is a lot of rain that time of year and you might encounter muddy water. Sounds like fun, and it's a dang shame we can't do it off the pier for those @#$%^&* sharks.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
