heavy surf rod blanks
i am building a surf rod for a penn jig master 500 and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, i want a 9 1/2' to 10' blank w/ a preferably smaller butt (.86'' to .98'') and not much taper, maybe a #12 to #16 tip, and stiff, it has to be stiff, like 4 to 6oz kinda stiff.
will use it for jack and reds at fairhope, reds in the surf, reds and cobia at the gulf state pier.
I figure it this way, if everyone in the world had a lie clock, whose hands moved once every time they lied. You could use any politicians lie clock as a ceiling fan.

Lamiglas makes a few blanks that I think would be good for what your looking for. http://www.mudhole.com/Shop-Our-Cata...-Bar/GSB120-1M

Educate me a little bit if you will. What are good turbidity numbers? If you can check those stats and determine what the water looks like before you go, that would be VERY helpful!
