Has anyone here dealt with Activists like this guy?

The fishermen had great restraint. I am not sure if I would have remained as level headed as these guys. I feel sorry for his children that he is brainwashing too.

I'm not sure that I would have had that much restraint after he threw my fish back in the water. I think he would have been swimming with the fishes after that.......!!

The "activist" p#$$y wasn't man enough to start the confrontation, but instead put his kid up to initiating contact. I'm afraid that Mr. Activist would have been going for a swim.

He could be cited under AL law for interfering with the fisherman, especially once he touched the fish.
Its like $500+ fine plus court costs.

I had some of them show up at a Public Wildlife Management land that I drew a duck blind on they followed us in to the woods .

The three of them weren't prepared for a walk in the to the Swamp on that very cold November day .

My son's and I out distanced them and killed our flashlights so they couldn't see us doubled back to the blind and set up.

They walked out deeper in to the swamp , Best duck shoot I'd had there in a long time.

By the time the sun came up they had flushed up all the ducks that were roosting in these and they came back all morning in two“s and three's

We got back to the parking area to find DNR and the Bunny Huggers going at it , we show up and one of them yells "Thats Them" and
Mr DNR comes over to ask some questions.

He asked us if we had any contact with them and kids had a ball telling how they followed us and harassed us and we lost them in the swamp , And had the best Duck Shoot ever , The huggers were yelling at the kids

That was when Mr.DNR Asked if I wanted to press charges for Hunter Harassment (new law that year) Did know I could say yes that fast.

So Mr DNR with his six men cuffed the bunch , sat them down in that muddy parking lot , I heard the mouthy one start telling them they can't do this he has to put them in their cars , that you can't keep us in the cold weather , Mr DNR just looked at him and said Tranport is on it way there's to many for their cars .

Than he came back to us to get statements and contact info. He did check out our guns for plugs and steel shot and the birds , licenses too,
He said that since it was Thanksgiving Day they won't go before the Judge till Monday when Court opens in that County way down in Southern Maryland , He said there Thanksgiving dinner will be on the County in lock up and smiled and added they don't serve tofu.

That was the best Thanksgiving day Duck Hunt ever , The boys tell that story every time were together.

Pretty most states outlaw this. Even my state which is pretty liberal (Illinois)

Summary: A person commits hunter or fisherman interference when he or she intentionally or knowingly obstructs or interferes with the lawful taking of wildlife or aquatic life by another person with the specific intent to prevent that lawful taking. This includes things such as blocking or impeding the person hunting, using objects or barriers, using artificial or natural stimuli to hinder the lawful taking, or even using a drone in a way that interferes with another person's lawful taking of wildlife or aquatic life. A first violation is a Class B misdemeanor with enhacements for subsequent offenses.

They are all about not hurting animals I wonder what they do when an ant bed pops up in their yard. What if a wasp nest gets on the porch of his house or mice get in the kitchen cabinets. I guess he just lives with them cause he doesn't want to hurt their feelings.

I remember a day in Gulf Shores, many years ago when Tater's dad "Hollis" had been on the beach snatching mullet like he often would. All he would carry was his rod with a snatch hook tied on and a burlap sack tucked in his belt.
Afterwards, he would bring them back to the pier and clean the fish.
This particular day he came back all red-faced, saying he had almost gotten into a fight with a woman.

He had followed a school of mullet about a half mile toward town, snatching the mullet and tossing them above the high water mark to pick up on his way back toward the pier.
About halfway back he meets this woman coming the other way that he sees throwing one his mullet into the water.
He says "Hey lady, that's my fish you're throwing in the water."
He said she launched into a cursing tirade that would make a Marine DI blush.
She said she "had been putting ALL those 'poor fish' back in the water so they would live and called him every name in the book, and made a few up along the way.
When she made a move toward another mullet flopping on the sand nearby he held out his arm and said
"I tell you what lady, If you touch one more of my fish, I'm gonna throw YOU in the water!"

As they parted ways she was still cussing him and saying she was going to call the cops on him.
He said he stopped and turned around and told her "Please do lady, I'm certain they would lock your crazy ass up." LOL

Laying aside extreme cases like the Jain ascetics who have a helper sweep the streets in front of them so that they won't step on an ant, most of them deal with it by lying to themselves. Fancy word for lying is denial, but it's just lying. Cognitive dissonance theory says that their subconscient knowledge of the lies is why they are so nuts, mostly they are just nuts.

People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

It also helps to explain to these people that you are just trying to save the lives of all the little fish that the big fish eat every bleedin' day.
