Pretty cool, but I don't understand why he released it????
After a 1 hour fight and then being drug through the sand and lifted by the gill plates, that fish was not going to live.

That seems to be the case with everyone.

Yeah I agree. I may be wrong, but I think there was a comment that they had stopped to fish on their way to the airport, so prob a no-go on keeping it. Pretty sure a local would've appreciated it. I don't usually accept gifts from strangers myself, but I'd be hard pressed to turn that down.
This certainly was NOT a clinic on proper fish handling. Still, at least the fish had a small chance to survive; life expectancy of a fish on ice in a cooler is worse.Quote:
