Gulps, need help
I have never fished gulps before, after reading all the info here I bought some. I ended up with 5 inch Jerk Shad/ Sapphire Shine. Question: What type hook and what size hook do I use?
Thank you in advance.

If you're fishing the pier, take those back and buy a jar of Gulp Alive Shrimp, 3" New Penny and/or Pearl White.
Fish them for any purpose as you would a live shrimp, use jig heads from 3/16-3/8oz maybe even 1/2oz if current is strong or windy.
If you're going to fish the lagoon, flats or morning surf, keep those and fish with a jig head.
I like a twitch and pause retrieve.Ragnar Benson:

With the ones you bought try the 2/0-4/0 3/8-1/2 oz. Shad Head.
In the surf as well most folks use the 3" shrimp on a 1/4 ounce jig head (as Chili indicated).
I understand they work great in tandem above a 3" or 4" bucktail jig that weighs 1/2 to 3/4 ounce.
Use a 2/0 - 4/4 Bass Worm Hook for that

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
