Gulf Shores vacation first week of June
I'm late getting this posted, but I have time now. We went down to Gulf Shores the first week of June on a Family Vacation. I tried to hire David Thornton as a guide because none of us has fish off a pier or on a beach, but he was already booked for that entire week but he said "don't be discouraged, I have encountered many informed and helpful people who are more than willing to assist visitors", He was dead on with that. I read many posts on this forum and just kept it simple and asked some locals and caught fish everyday. We fished off the pier mainly but also went surf fishing and took a party boat one day and caught fish every time. I want to thank all you guys and gals for answering all my stupid questions, netting our fish, and even telling us where and how to fish. I'm from rural Illinois where most everyone is friendly and waves, until you go to town!! But down in Gulf Shores, its not only the pier fisherpeople that are friendly, its everyone in the area!! David Thornton, thank you for encouraging me to venture out on our own because we had a blast and thanks to all the forum members who post here because you guys have a wealth of information. I thought I was going to wear the search engine out!! LOL Thanks again Kirk

Well done Kirk, glad to hear it worked so well for you!
One of my former clients remarked after we fished together "I get it now, after all this isn't rocket surgery." LOL(RETIRED) mostly.

Could be scarlet and grey....OH----IO
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
