The K guides are designed for braid. Out of curiosity, what led you to believe they are approved for braid?
Fuji K series are only built with two different inserts, Alconite and Silicon carbide. Both of those materials are extremely hard as well as being quite lite. If all your doing is king fishing from the pier, you won't have a problem with them grooving.
well i bought them from kathy at the rod room and she said she had two types, one set made for braid and the other for mono and oh okay cool
The alconites are primarily used for mono, but you won't have a problem out of them. I use straight braid with mine and haven't had a single problem out of them yet.
okay good to know. thanks for the help
