Well ive got fuji k series guides on my new rod and they arnt braid approved but ive also got a 150yd super slick 8 braid backing on my vs200 so i was curious to know if the braid would actually tear up my guides?

Re: Got a question
The K guides are designed for braid. Out of curiosity, what led you to believe they are approved for braid?

Re: Got a question
Fuji K series are only built with two different inserts, Alconite and Silicon carbide. Both of those materials are extremely hard as well as being quite lite. If all your doing is king fishing from the pier, you won't have a problem with them grooving.

Re: Got a question
The alconites are primarily used for mono, but you won't have a problem out of them. I use straight braid with mine and haven't had a single problem out of them yet.
