Thread: Got my Son his 1st Custom rod from J&M Tackle!!!

It is awesome having a local tackle store that is part of the fishing community. Got my son a custom rod for his birthday (his 1st custom rod) from J and M today and cant wait to give it to him for Christmas.

I bought my 1st 706 from J&M back in the 90's when they 1st came out. Now, John is supplying my son with his fishing gear. How cool is that!

Glad you are happy with it Bubba.I have built several rods for people when they(or in many cases we)were kids and now watch their kids catch fish on that rod.25 years or so down the road I hope to see Byron's kid catch a king on it.

You could sneak it out of the house and give it a few test tosses, just to be sure it works right. oke:
An uncle used to make sure our pie was "safe" by taking one bite from each piece served before allowing us to taste it. Can't be too careful.
