    Good Spinning Reel

ok guys,im really trying to get on here everday and check the forum about tackle, bait, all that good stuff.Really trying to learnwhat is going on, maybe when i come down i wont feel like im a tourist.I've always been told, " If something is worth doing, its worth doing right, and thats what im trying to do. i posted in the DIY section about converting a casting rod to spinning, i have the hard part done of stripping the rod to the blank. with surprisingly no harm to the rod. now im looking for a good reel for it. not too expensive though. any suggestions? The rod is a 6.0 IM7 med actioin rod.

Get a mid priced Shimano 2500 (about $50).
Put some 6# on it and jig your heart out! :headbang:

Yep, what #r said: 2500 series Shimano or Penn, dont get the cheapest one, but you dont need to spend $200 either.

Yep, but I'm still using a $25 TX2000 I bought on eBay almost ten years ago.

On PFF there are 3 Quantum Boca 30s for sale on allstar rods I think he was asking 60 a piece which is a great deal for an awesome reel.
