So I have been checking the net and it looks like there is a place in Orlando called Mosquito lagoon. You guys ever heard of this. It surpose to be a good place to catch reds & poons. Re: Going to disney need place to fish
The Mosquito Lagoon I have heard of near Orlando with saltwater fish is on the Atlantic on the other side of the space center, roughly 50 miles east of Orlando. It's big and has fish, but perhaps not an easy place to catch fish on a quick visit without a boat. If you have a plan for getting to the fish, it sounds like a great place (it's a candidate for my bucket list).
Disney has stocked lakes on their property, but apparently you use their guides/boats to fish them. There are many lakes for freshwater fishing near by like Toho but you will usually need a boat there too.
I made a side-trip run from Orlando to Tampa to fish the Skyway piers, and it was farther than I expected (maybe 120 each way) although it would have been better if I had asked for directions in advance :spank: -- I spent all my time driving and had no time to fish.
I've always enjoyed Sabastian Inlet State Park, which is 92 miles from Orlando, but after you hit Melbourne you are driving next to beach areas if you want to surf fish. On the mainland side along US 1 in the actual town of Sebastian were relatively inexpensive accomodations and food.

I live just a few miles outside of Orlando, and not too far from the Skyway, which his probably the scariest bridge in the World. Where is your charter out of?

Re: Going to disney need place to fish
Just throwing it out there but Disney does have some nice managed small "lakes" full of quality sized bass.. they won't fight as hard as most saltwater fish, but its fishing nonetheless. Hope this helps ya a little bit Cuz. Have fun

Re: Going to disney need place to fish
Thanks guys yes Snake there is some nice lakes but the cost is way to much for us poor people. I do know of a dam that i plan to try at fort wilderness I saw a man catch some nice crapie that I plan to try. But I booked 2 days on a party boat out of port Canaveral looks like they catch some nice flounder ,reds . cobia an other fish. If all else fails they got free beer
