Ghost Shrimp Fly?
Has anyone out there used a ghost shrimp fly to target sheeps, reds or trout? I would think that if you would put a little stinky juice on them they might work. Let me know if you have ever tried them and what did you catch, if anything.

For specs and reds, I think a "normal" saltwater shrimp fly would be just as good as one imitating a ghost shrimp.
Not sure about sheepshead, never heard of anyone targeting them with the fly. Fishing a sinking line around structure and horsing them out would be difficult.Carl

Thanks, Carl I think you are right about any shrimp fly being as good as a ghost shrimp fly but ghost shrimp seem to be more desirable than live shrimp. (?) What I was planning to do was to fish them off of the rocks of a jetty. It would be very difficult to keep them away from the piling at the pier with a fly rod. What are your thoughts about using stinky juice?

Never used it so can't really say. Specs and sheepshead are mainly site feeders, so doubt you really need it.
Redfish? might help.Carl

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
