    Ghost Shrimp????/

Does anyone have an idea where a fellow might try for some ghost shrimp? I tried along the beach this morning and couldn't suck any up. Ideas would be deeply appreciated.

In front of Sea and Sud is usually a good place . Also the west side of the pier . I'm sure others will have places they frequent . Good luck .

It's best to wait for calm seas, like after a north wind knocks the waves down, and despite what a lot of folks told me, I had to wade out deep enough to endanger the tops of my hip boots (chest waders would have been better). Any relatively shallow area in the Gulf should have a population---I even found some on the Bay side at the Orange Beach Bayfront Park just east of the Hy 161 intersection.

Thank you Mr. Wire, we do have chest waders, but can you see the holes in that deep of water or what do you look for?
I intended to bring a load of wood down for you but then we left early because of a pending storm and I didn't get a chance to get it loaded. Most of our wood is quarentined anyway because of the Emerald Ash Borer, the Dutch Elm disease, Oak Wilt, the birch beetle, and a fungus in the Blue Spruce trees. It will look like a dessert up there in a few years.

Hey, now, I go to great length to teach them how to twerk at the appropriate time and there are dam few fishermen who can handle fish hooked on bait that flexible. Y'all stay outen my bucket.

Flyguy, I failed to mention that a low or falling tide is almost a must, and yes you can see their little moundies that deep. I've never had any luck where a strong current sweeps over a shallow bar---washes away their edifices. I hear there are places to suck shrimp where you never get above your ankles, but the folks that told me that failed to include directions.

Try off the mouth of Little Lagoon Pass if you can find access with the construction going on. And sometimes, no matter how hard you work to catch ghost shrimp, the dagfrazzle sheepshead still won't bite them. Be warned---they're great bait, but not magical. Pinfish always love them.

Don't worry Mr. Wire, I won't mess with your ghost shrimp bucket, but I don't think you would see me if I did it today. I thank everyone for the advise!!!!
