    four seasons pier?

apparently this is where we are staying. i plan to do some fishing off the SP pier just to meet you guys and learn a few things but with this pier right where i am staying, i expect to spend a bit of time fishing there too. is it long enough to catch the kings and reds or should i target something else?
also, looking at aerial photos, there is an inlet just down the beach to the east. is that fishable from shore? is it worth my very limited time? what, if anything, can i expect to catch and how?
thanks in advance for the advice. you guys are great.

    :yippee:
    Good luck to you stik!
I've never fished from that pier, but have talked to folks who have (and stayed at a Holiday Inn once or twice too ;-) LOL

Anyway the water is shallow, but I understand when it's calm and clear and the baitfish gather around the pier and the mackerel follow.
It's also reported to be a good place for specks and flounder espcially at night under the lights.
Apparently only a very few of the residents there fish with much frequency.
But IF I was independently wealthy, that's the place I would retire to. :headbang:

Perdido Pass is about a mile to the west.
The jetty is good for fishing at times but it can get crowded and there is LOTS of boat traffic in the pass this time of year.
Check it out on the Perdido Pass Webcam @ http://came2.brett-robinson.com/view...jpg&size=1

    Hope this helps!

Stik, I have never fished there either, but there used to be some good flounder reports from someone who used to stay there a lot, but haven’t seen a report recently.
I would think that there is some Redfish action from that pier. I haven’t heard of Kings there, your best bet for kings will be the GSP Pier.
btw, I think Perdido Pass is actually to the east of 4 Seasons. Sorry #r, couldn’t miss this rare opportunity oke1:
Speaking of Pier#r, he is now a professional fishing guide and a good investment in a successful fishing experience during your first trip down. Hit him up, you will catch fish.

Well in theory should be fine from there as long as they haven't banned it. Just keep in mind local size and species regulations for sharks too.
