Forum Upgrade Next Month

I think we are going to upgrade the forum next month in time for the fishing season. Part of the plan is to make it easier to upload pics and embed videos. You will also get member pages where you can post pics on your profile.

I am going to try to go with a mobile app as well that will make mobile browsing easier.

The forum look might change, but it will only get cleaner and easier to read. Colors might change, depending on what color shirts I wear this season :nyd:.

I will keep you guys up to date but maybe a new live date of April 1st, or the 2nd week.

Ya'll really have put a lot of time and effort into this forum, gotta tell you it has really helped keep TONS of people conected to our beloved pier and it's inhabbitence, and it's absolutly great :headbang:
(only one request, on the board of icon, faces, whatever you want to call them, i've been wishing for a while that there was a winking face, so that people could say something jokingly and it not be interpreted incorrectly, if my request would be taken into consideration, I would be very thankful)

The future upgrades have begun! You wont see them until we are ready. Maybe this week or next I will give you guys a teaser screenshot of the new look.

Ok, Let me echo Fin's sentiment about understanding the enthusiasm. I'm also pleased at the interest you kids have in fishing and keeping the sport alive and well. However, in the last couple of months, GSPF.com has gotten way too schizophrenic. So, I'm going to get this off my chest and it'll be the last I say on the subject. I apologize to anyone I offend.

All of you young guys are in such a rush to post whatever thought is flying through your head at that particular second that you end up doing exactly what RB just did. I vote for setting the number at zero. I honestly believe that they are a huge distraction and disservice to the group that seems to use them the most. It appears to me that many of the kids here are missing out on a chance to learn how to express themselves in written form. The tools that are at their disposal (spellcheckers, online dictionaries and thesauruses, search engines and the list goes on) are being ignored in favor of cute that adds essentially nothing to a conversation. It is as if some of you were given the keys to a Ferrari and instead of learning to drive it the way it was meant to be driven, they keep it in the driveway and blow the horn because it sounds different and jacking with the radio trying to find an Italian station.

I guess I am guilty at times using the griff's to help express myself and enjoy using them too....sorry if it offends anyone....with that said, Thanks Bubba & all others involved :bow: for all you do and looking forward to any and all improvements to this fine forum and glad to be part of it

There a "PM" feature that they obviously don't know about either.
