Forum still popular?
Is the Gulf Shores Pier Fishing Forum still popular or are more people using the Facebook page more?

As an Admin for both these forums and the FB page, I can easily say the forum has MORE traffic.
Almost daily pier reports & feedback on the forum are a sign of 'good vitality' in the community IMHO.
Thanks to consistent contributors like eym_sirius and david lea, Haywire plus myself and many visitors when on the pier!
I hope Todd is well so we can read his reports when he returns! (even if he can't post pics ;-) lol
I do try to post a report on the Gulf Shores Pier Fishing.com Facebook page once or twice a week.
That info is a combination of any personal observations, plus the reports I read here and maybe on Pierrats.
Here though, we don't usually have to weed through politics, namecalling, etc.
PMs on the FB page are usually the mode to get new member signups as well.
The process only takes me less than a minute though.
So to answer your question BDL, YES!
I believe the GSPFF is still popular.

And a non-user of Facebook has no other choice.

Thanks Pier#r. Good to know the site is still doing well. Got hooked on it about 6-7 years ago during our first trip to the Gulf. Looking forward to a return trip to the area and Pier.

It's amazing how many people come to this forum for tips, insight and fishing reports. I try to get out there at least three or four times a week and typically I get a report out before noon so that folks can read them on their lunch break or at their convenience throughout the day.
It's a unique site because it's the only place you'll find where people will tell you exactly what was caught by multiple fishermen, when the catch happened, what was used for bait and other specifics, just as it happened and sometimes - with pictures. I try to include, with my report, water and weather conditions that might relate to success and in so doing, I'm trying to create a reference diary for future years.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
