Forum Feature Requests?
Just curious, are there any features you guys would like in the forum? I dont promise we can do them, but it would be nice to see if there are some features that you guys want, that we could look at adding in the future.
One that I have taken note of was uploading pics from phone to the forum.

Re: Forum Feature Requests?
+1 on the ability to upload photos. But I understand how it may interfere with speed and space too.
Having an app to the forum, is that a feature or is that something totally different? I'm just throwing some stuff out there. Not sure what's feasible or not.
How about a "anything goes" section. Enter at your own risk area. Might make the mods jobs easier.
Honestly, I think the forum is good. Thanks for what y'all do!
We need to get them snow birds posting!

+1on the anything goes section.. What about a kayak fishing section
Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years

Re: Forum Feature Requests?
I think it would be GREAT if the forum served beer. :yippee:
That way more of us could PUI (Post Under the Infuence ;-)
Certainly it would lead to online harmony and world peace!

There is an app version of the site, but it would cost an extra $199 a year. So, that is one I also want, but have to figure that one out. We will say it is in the works, just not sure when it can go live. With that said, I might have a solution when we go live with the new forum software within the month. Stay tuned...
We could just rename Off Topic to Anything Goes. I thought that was the point of that subforum anyway.

Re: Forum Feature Requests?
How about a brackish water/Surf Fishing Reports link and a upload button to load pics from your computer not another website to get a link..

A report thread for freshwater, is that what you are asking?
Ability to upload pics to the website is something we are considering. We know that will get more people uploading photos.

How about an unread post toggle that is easier to access.

Re: Forum Feature Requests?
Bicycling.com has a "come get some" forum that I hung around for a few months when I was biking. From what I can see now, it has calmed down a whole bunch, but that place was the wild west when I was there. You either came big or got your lunch eaten - oohh, man, it got personal. I think one of the reasons it was so bad is that all the folks on there were from all over the country and never saw each other. GS Pier Forum folks see each other pretty regularly and I can see a back and forth of insults leading to fisticuffs. Set it up if you want it, but I'll say no thank you. BTDT :slap:
Screw it. Let's ride.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
