Fort Morgan surf
I made it down this week to Fort Morgan to surf fish from Dallas. Enjoying the beach, great weather. So far caught many Bluefish, Puffers, Sharks and catfish using cut bait. Found some sandfleas yesterday and caught a pomp. Hopefully the slot reds will move in before I go back home....we'll see. If not I plan on coming back for a couple weeks in July. I added a pic of a Man of War..been a few of them around and they hurt if you run into one.

Today fishing is better. It's calm on the Gulf side and the water is clearing up a bit at Fort Morgan. Caught 2 Pomps with small sandfleas. Starting to see a lot of bait fish and action in the water which is great. Have great fishing if you decide to go.

try to catch live bait fish with a sabiki by casting out a little ways, i'd use the bait that is present in the water your fishing. it helps if you add a tiny piece of shrimp to the sabiki. Pinfish love it.

+1 on the shrimp fresh dead shrimp. also, you don't need to throw it a country mile to get fish. fish inside the first bar and you should do pretty good the rest of the week. water has cleared up some and neap tide is over so things should look up for you. fort morgan marina might have some live shrimp. call ahead first

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
