What is the best way to get to the point other than by boat and where is the best place to park?
Thanks

Drive west on Ft.Morgan rd till you can't drive anymore, then walk west till you can't walk anymore.

Re: Fort Morgan Point
If you park in the Fort's visitor parking, don't be in there after 5pm, they will lock you in.
I know of someone that had to call the Sheriffs to get his car out.
I'm hoping to be out there Monday morning, coming across on the first ferry.Ragnar Benson:

Re: Fort Morgan Point
Yep its a long walk. There's also excellent fishing down the little beach road on the left coming up to the fort, just be really careful as that little road is falling way apart so you have to pull off to the right and walk the rest of the way.

Even though the gate to the fort doesn't open until after 7am you can still park at the foot of the 'free pier' next to the public boat ramp and walk down the beach to the point.
It adds about a 1/3 of a mile to the walk, but at least it is accessible early and late ;-)(RETIRED) mostly.

Re: Fort Morgan Point
David,
I wonder if you can clarify the situation at the Fort Morgan "free pier". I have gone there quite a few times when no one was in the little shack with a stop sign. Last week there was a women there who wanted $5.00 from each of us to enter. Is that not a PUBLIC pier and boat launch? Whats up there anyway?
Thanks man.Beware the power of fools in large numbers

Re: Fort Morgan Point
its not free; I used to fish there quite a bit, bought a 60 day pass at a reduced rate to offset the cost. Used to have an honor box, folks didn't honor much. I have seen her come out on the pier to collect fees.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
