Even with this 3-4 day shot of fall air, about middle of next week we may well be 'sweating' the development and track of another possibly near and potentially intense tropical system...

IF tropical storm "Matthew" takes the Florida east coast route (as forecast) we should stay in this drier, cooler pattern...

"IF". Forecast track shifted a little west since last night. But still predicted to stay out of the gulf.

When Haywire speaks, storms listen!
The new NHC track forecast has
been nudged northward through 72 hours, to be closer to the newmodel consensus. After day 3, Matthew is expected to turnnorthwestward as it nears the western portion of the ridge. Theoverall track envelope has shifted slightly eastward at days 4 and5, and the NHC track has been adjusted accordingly. It shouldbe noted that are still significant differences among the models inhow soon and how sharply Matthew turns northwestward and northwardlate in the forecast period. Users are reminded that the averageNHC track errors at days 4 and 5 are on the order of 180 and 240 miles, respectively.

Haywire, if you could please make sure the gulf is calm the week of October 8th I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
