    Fluorocarbon Leader ?

Does anyone use mono with a fluorocarbon leader? If so, what type of knot is best?

Use fluorocarbon 30lb. when fishing looney jig or small spoon for Spanish. For straw rig I use 60lb. mono leader for Kings use steel of some kind.

I do. I tie uni-to-uni. I always test the knot for reliability.

Yep, uni to uni. Great knot, and eliminates a swivel.

For heavy fluoro or mono leaders, I like the Albright Knot.

I personally like the double albright knot. 2 knots that come together to form one super strong knot. Kind of tough to tie the first couple of times, but it seems really durable. I tied braid to mono with it.

Modified Albright/Crazy Alberto is WAY more reliable and smaller than a uni-uni connection. Learn to tie it and it will serve you well.
