Flounders...Can you catch them and how off the pier
Can you catch flounder off the pier during the summer months? And what type of bait/gear would you use?

Yes. If you search the term "flounder" on the home page you'll find plenty of answers to your question. Been discussed several times and you'll find some great advice.
Screw it. Let's ride.

Re: Flounders...Can you catch them and how off the pier
carolina rig, with 1oz slip weight and flouro leader,Kahle hook(1or2 /0) bull minnow or spanish belly strip right under the pier just walk it slowly from pylon to pylon , then the next and so on with a slight jigging action moving the weight a little then slack so the bait goes back under the pier with the current some
at least that's how I have done it in the past
should have a drop net too, so you can get them up sometimes they will short strike it and not hooked to good for the trip up with out a netBill..............

As to OP's question: Besides bull minners, a 3" Gulp Shrimp will mitigate the pin fish problem down to almost zero.Screw it. Let's ride.

Almost makes you want to consider putting a READ ONLY restriction on under 21 members. :headbang: :spank:

Educate me a little bit if you will. What are good turbidity numbers? If you can check those stats and determine what the water looks like before you go, that would be VERY helpful!
